Slot 0 of the rack is dedicated to the power supply, while slot 1 is designated for the CPU. The remaining slots can host a variety of modules, allowing for flexible configurations. The IC698CHS017 is classified as an “open equipment” rack and must be installed within an enclosure with at least an IP54 protection rating. The rack dimensions are 11.15 inches in height (283 mm), 19 inches in width (483 mm), and 7.5 inches in depth (190 mm). Additionally, a clearance of 9 inches (23 cm) is required to install a cooling fan between racks.
